  1. I feel that this article provesn how much money our candidates use for their campian. these millions of dollars they are spending can go to better use then a stupid elction which happens like every other year. these millions of dollars that they are spending can go to cancer, aids, and homeless people. that is were the money should go...

  2. How can you possibly spend so much money on one election, I find that kind of insulting to the people that pay taxes for it all to just go to elections when half of the time they dont do what they say theyre going to..

  3. This article talks about how candidates spent millions of dollars of their campaigns knowing that there would be a huge disadvantage throughout the campaign and that winning the election is nearly impossible. According to the Wall Street Journal candidates spent roughly 85 million dollars on their campaigns. This money could have been used for many other things such as fighting crime, and providing health care. Spending all this money shows that these people are horrible at saving tax payers money, and are basically lying when they say they will save us money.

  4. I never would have imagined that this much money was being used for campaigning. If you really think about it, it's all just a waste, beacuse there are tons of candidates and a handful of them actually reap the benefits from these millions of dollars they are putting into their campaigns. All the money those who do not get elected invest in their campaigns just goes to waist. I think it is actually really ironic that these candidates are wasting so much money when a lot of the issues they are saying that they will solve if elected can be solved or greatly helped by the amount of money they spend. I think that it is a form of bribery also, which is not very democratic, because it seems that these candidates believe that those who spend the most money and create the best campaign will end up with the vote. I think the whole thing is just ridiculous and a new system should definitely be considered.

I think the way candidates are spending so much money on their campaign is a waste of money. There are alot of deficets in many parts of the U.S. The money could be used to help those areas that are less fortunate than others
