I had no idea that if was so difficult to pass minimum wage. I thought the supreme court would want it. Wouldn't they want to help the citizens of the country they are protecting. I think minimum wage is a good idea, it just needs to be regulated more closely and raised when it is needed not when it is convenient.

  2. Exploding bread.... Dosen't seem like people worry about that when they go to the bakery to get a loaf of bread. Planet money clears up the history of minimum wage and what it took to pass the bill. Introduced by franklin D Roosevelt ,minimum wage was built to cut work weeks allowing more people to be employed. FDR's plan was ripped apart at first but after a while was accepted and actually worked! The idea of minimum wage was to reduce unemployment and divide up the jobs so that everyone had some type of income. i think the theory works but only if everyone would participate.

  3. I think minimum wage sounded like a good idea because it allowed more people to work and earn money to spend which would help stimulate the economy. This stimulated economy would hopefully help yield more jobs and help get the economy back on track. The plans set up by FDR also helped get the country out of the Great Depression.
